The Vision
Toby Grill and Bar was born from a simple yet bold idea: celebrate the comforting flavors generations grew up on — crispy mozzarella, slow-simmered tomato sauces, and parm favorites — while firing up the grill for steaks and chops done the American way. Nestled in Succasunna, NJ, we're building a gathering place for both traditions.
Our chef draws from classic trattoria technique and contemporary American grilling — fresh herbs, house-made pastas, and proteins cooked over flame — so every plate feels rooted and surprising at the same time.
The result is Italian-American fusion you can share with the whole table: handmade pasta, wood-fired specialties, and bar pours that turn dinner into an occasion.
